*Call to Worship                      ~Psalm 114

Leader:   When Israel went out from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

People:  Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

Leader:   The sea looked and fled Jordan turned back.

People:  The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.

Leader:   Why is it, O sea, that you flee?  O Jordan, that you turn back?

People:  O mountains, that you skip like rams, O hills, like lambs?

Leader:   Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

People:  who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.

Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah

 Opening Prayer  (unison)

Almighty God, we hear again the story of the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea. As Moses, trusting in your promises, led the Israelites to freedom, may our time of prayer and worship open our souls to your Spirit, and free us to rejoice in the freedom we enjoy as we put our trust in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Morning Prayer and Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
